Lessons Rates and Packages:
Riding and Training Rates and Packages:
Rides:  Some horses may need a tune-up from the trainer or possibly just a good ride while you are away on a trip.  One ride from me will be tailored to a problem that you might be having, or in the case of a group of rides purchased, an ongoing issue between you and your horse that needs a little bit of extra attention.  There may or may not be jumping involved, depending on your specifications and the needs of your horse at the time.  Every ride will be custom tailored to you and your horse's needs.
        Single Ride:  $25.00
Package of 5 rides (30 day maximum time span):  $110.00 (approximately 15% off)
Package of 10 rodes (30 day maximum time span):  $220.00 (approximately 15% off)

Training:  Some horses may need extended attention and full care from a professional in order to further their training or really solve a problem.  Included in the training package, in addition to rides, will be regular maintenance and care on days when your horse is being ridden, including but not limited to grooming, minor clipping, lunging, turnout, etc.  These needs will be tailored to meet your expectations for your horse over the period of time he or she is in training.
Full Training:  (One calendar month, 5 to 6 days per week):  $450.00
Half Training:  (One calendar month, 15 rides evenly dispersed):  $275.00
Horse Care:
Quite often, busy students or working adults do not have the time or the ability to do some of the finer tasks of care themselves.  Teneriffe offers to take care of these things for the customer in order to keep the horses in "working condition" at all times to provide the highest level of comfort to the horse and rider.

Body Clipping:  $125.00   Full body clip for one horse to eliminate long winter hair when a horse is doing a high volume of winter showing or work and needs to carry less hair:  (this does not inlcude the cost of tranquilizers in the event that a horse need something in order to not be too worried during the clipping, but does include clipping of bridle path, face, legs, etc)
Hair Trim:  Trimming of bridle path, legs, muzzle, ears when permitted:  $15.00
Mane Pull or Shortening:  $15 (method will depend on thickness and length of horse's mane)
Worm:  (owner supplie tube wormer):  $5
Holding Horse For Farrier:  (for instances requiring extra attention at shoeings) $20
Medication fee:  $3 (this includes purchase of needles and syringes , as well as injection, IV or IM, but not the                         purchase of the actual medication himself)
Medicine loans:   (loan of on hand medication in the event of an emergency deemed by Teneriffe and/or the                         horse's owner:
                Bute paste/powder:  $2 per dose
                Banamine IM:  $5 per dose
                Robaxin tablets:  $5 per dose
                Ace IM:  $2 per dose
Horse Show Costs:
Schooling Fee:  This is a per day fee for every day you recieve instruction at a horse show.  This includes the time that we spend the day before the show schooling over the course, and includes show day time when we are in the warm up area before you class, help at the ring during classes, walking jumper and equitation courses and finals, and any other show day coaching need that you may have.
Per day fee:  $45.00  (per horse, with conditional exceptions made to extra horses brought to do one to two flat                 classes in addition to another horse with the same rider.)

At Show Riding/Training:  Sometimes it may be beneficial to have your trainer show and/or ride your horse at the shows.  Several reasons require this, such as if you have a green horse who needs show ring confidence, because it is a good idea to send them in the ring with someone else before you go so that your show experience can be a fun an confident one for you.  Learning experiences where a young horse is involved should for the most part be saved for at home lessons, allowing a horse and rider to have the best possible experience in order to boost confidence away from home.
Lunging:   $15.00  Any horse deemed to fresh to be ridden safely in the often crowded show or schooling rings,                 schooling days or showing days, will need a lunge.  If you are not capable or do not wish to do this task, Sara or a competant helper will lunge your horse for you.
Schooling Ride Fee:  $20.00  (this is any instance off the farm in which Sara rides a horse)
        Showing Fee: $5.00 per class
Grooming/bathing:  $25.00.  This is a per day fee for every day it is required that you horse be tacked up,                         groomed, or cared for in your absence, or if you do not wish to do so on a day when Sara rides or shows your horse.  This fee will be waived if you are in attendance and can tack and untack the horse before and after he or she shows.  Absolutely no exceptions to this rule will be made as this is a time consuming task!

At Show Care:  In the instance that you are unable or do not wish to care for your horse at a horse show, these costs will be applied to your bill.  Every horse showing will be expected to be bathed before shown, with special care taken when bathing gray, light colored, or paint horses, and the socks of any horse.  Spots in manes and tails or on bodies are not acceptable on schooling or show days as it reflects poorly on our barn as a group.  Every horse's stall must be cleaned a minimum of two times per day, first thing in the morning, no later than 8:30AM and before leaving for the day, no earlier than 4:00PM with absolutely no exceptions made.  If you choose not to complete these tasks, Teneriffe will be happy to take care of them for you and add the appropriate cost to your bill.  It is also to be noted that there is a great deal of time and effort that goes into setting up your horse's stall and the setting up of the tack and/or feed areas once we get to the shows.  If you are not available to set up your horse's stall as well as actively contribute to the setting up of the feed and tack stalls, there will be a per horse fee for this service.  The following fees are per day based, unless otherwise noted.
Setup fee:  $15 (one time per horse show fee, per horse)
Partial Care fee:  $25.00  This fee will include having your stall cleaned twice per day and your buckets emptied                 and cleaned every day we are at a show.
Full Care Fee:  $50.00  This fee includes the complete horse show care of your horse.  Stalls will be cleaned twice per day, buckets emptied and cleaned, all bathing and grooming needs on show or schooling days,  tacking and untacking in time for every time you show or school, cooling down, leg wrapping, and any other needs.
Wrap Rental:  $10.00  Your horse's legs suffer more concussion at a horse show than at home, and it is most likely that they will need to be wrapped after a hard day's work.   It is also always reccommended that legs be wrapped during travel.  If you do not have the appropriate bandages (please ask for the reccommended supplies list if you have not yet received it.) we will be happy to supply you with them at a fee.  This fee includes laundering and regular wear, however if your horse completely destroys a set of wraps, you will be         expected to replace them at your own expense.
Shampoo, conditioner, poultice, liniment, etc. loans:  $5  This fee includes any needed horse care supply that                 you do not supply for your horse for yourself.
Maid Fee:  $10.00  If you leave your space untidy, it reflects poorly on the barn as a group, and this is unacceptable.  If we must clean up after you at any given time due to your negligence, we will charge a maid fee.  Leaving out your personal belongings (water bottles, any items of clothing, etc) not hanging halters, bridles, saddles, etc neatly on hooks or  in their proper location, not immediately re-rolling wraps, placing bandages and blankets on the appropriate provided bungees, will result in one warning before you are charged a maid fee.  This can be avoided by picking up after yourself in a timely manner and not waiting until seconds before you have to be at the show ring to organize your belongings.  Absolutely nothing should ever be left around your stall at any time.  Drinks and food must be in your trunk or a cooler in the tack room or in the trash.  No exceptions.  This is a per offense charge!

Other:  Horse shows can be expensive.  These are some other costs that you can expect to accumulate at shows, depending on your circumstances, whether you haul your own horse to the show, whether or not we will be there overnight, etc.  Group costs pertaining to Sara's personal expenses (for example, hotel costs) will be split by individual customer, and not by horse, while group costs pertaining to the horses will be split individually by horse (tack/feed stall split, trailering splits, etc).  If you are new to the program and would like a hypothetical breakdown of cost to get an idea before committing to a show, please ask and one will be provided for you.
Break it, Replace it!:  If you or your horse break any equipment loaned to you, whether it be at home or at a horse show, you are required to replace it at your expense.
Hotel Costs:  Sara's actual hotel cost per night will be noted and split exactly between each customer.
Trailering Costs:  Travel cost will be split between each horse on the trailer.  If you have the only horse on my trailer, you will be responsible for the entire cost.  Pricing is rated on an individual, per show basis, and will be quoted to you before we leave for the show upon your request.

*  You will be presented with your bill on the last day of the horse show and will be expected to pay it before you horse is loaded on the trailer to come home. *
*  Any check, at home or at shows, returned non-sufficient funds, will be charged a $50 fee.  *
